13th European Evaluation Society Biennial Conference

Bursary

Applications for bursaries for the EES 2018 have been closed as of 2nd April.
Currently, all applications are subject to review, results will be communicated to all candidates by 15 June 2018.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at bursary@ees2018.eu

The bursary programme aims to contribute to building evaluation capacity in developing countries. The selection gives priority to applicants who are active in the evaluation communities in their home countries. After the Conference, successful candidates are encouraged to share their experience with other evaluators in their country and region. In turn, the presence of evaluators from all over the world enriches the conference experience for all participants, as it contributes to a diversity of perspectives, including on the realities of undertaking evaluations in developing countries.

Eligible candidates are:

  • a citizen from a developing country and live and work in a developing country for most of the time
(*Applicable for citizens of countries with low-income, lower-middle income or upper-middle income economies according to the
classification of GDP per capita of the World Bank. Some bursary sponsors have specific requirements which EES will reflect in the selection process.)
  • involved in evaluation in their home country (*Proof of this needs to be provided in the application form.)
  • Submitting an abstract for a paper (preferred), a poster, or a panel presentation at the conference

Applications will go through a strict review process during which additional information may be asked from the applicants.

Applicants and eventual beneficiaries agree to participate in specific events organised in relation to the bursary programme during or outside the conference.

Please note the EES bursary support can only be received once by each individual: individuals who received bursary support under previous conferences are not eligible.

The EES Board is still looking for donors, in order to enable more people to attend the conference.

EES wishes to acknowledge and thank the donors who will contribute funds to enable evaluators from developing countries to join the conference.
